For the most part a fine ride mainly on cycle tracks close to the river Elbe. Stopping in campsite next to the river alas rather cramped.
Today 126 km. Total 2,708 km.

Day 34 Kolin to Melnik
A relaxed ride to Melnik. For a short while we were able to follow a cycle track next to the Elbe. A cool ride but our north west head wind has returned.

Day 33 Havlickuv Brod to Kolin
A much cooler morning that made the ride much easier. We stopped off in Kutna Hora for a bit of sight seeing and cake.
Today 74 km. Total 2,491 km.

Day 32 Trebic to Havlickuv Brod
Yesterday we struggled with what appeared to be a fairly easy ride. So we were a bit apprehensive about today's ride which had over 3,000 feet of climbing. Much to our surprise today's ride was delightful with manageable climbs and superb roads. We did not encounter a single pot hole for over two hours.
Today 58 km. Total 2,417 km.
They have very smart bus shelters in Czechoslovakia.

We like Czech cycling.
The road surfaces are smooth and drivers considerate.
My choice of route was happily v good, minor roads with little traffic (well, so far, not done all yet).
From the lakes we took the #396 via Rouchovany then #351 to Trebic, latter town has UNESCO Jewish quarter and fine Basilica, worth a look. Also a brewery that does good food.
From Trebic continue on #351 over BIG hills! But quiet and a bit of shade helped. At Polna we turned off via Slapanov to Havlickuv Brod.
The scenery is nice, fields of barley and pine woods,; all v empty.

Day 31 Brod nad Dyji to Trebic
A hard days ride due to high temperatures. Wisely opt to stop in a hotel and not camp, it is now raining.
